William Dunkelberger is an educator and retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel.
He was Director of the U.S. Army Institute for Advanced Russian & East European Studies, Garmisch, Germany, an American Council on Education- accredited postgraduate academic institute staffed by a multinational faculty and staff of 27, including Russian, Polish, Yugoslav, German, and U.S. personnel.
William served as Assistant Professor of Russian Language, U.S. Military Academy, West Point, New York., where he taught and supervised Russian language courses.
He served one year in Vietnam as a battalion commander of a military intelligence battalion.
Later he held the position of Intelligence Staff Officer/Soviet Specialist, Defense Intelligence Agency, Washington, D.C. where he was engaged in research and estimate-writing on the USSR war-fighting capabilities in Europe.
He participated in NATO intelligence negotiations. His second 20-year career was in public and private school education, teaching social studies and Russian language courses for middle school, high school and adults.
He teaches conference call and on-line education on topics including Not-Two Is Peace.
William serves as an Advisor to the Global Cooperation Project.
